JL Optical Inc. is an American Veteran owned and operated, Florida based microscope company since 1992. Our loyal customers are the key to our success and have helped our business thrive for more than 30 years. As a leader in the service industry, JL Optical performs complete preventive maintenance and repair services on microscopes of all kinds, optical comparators, phoropters, and slit lamps. No job is too large or too small. We appreciate each and every customer. Although founded solely as a service company, our successful growth has afforded us the opportunity to offer a large selection of quality microscopes and accessories. We provide service and sales nationwide and in the Caribbean; assisting numerous industries, universities, hospitals, laboratories, clinics, veterinary hospitals, as well as individuals.

Our Beginnings

JL Optical President George Walker began his optical career in the United States Navy, where he completed Opticalman "A" and "C" schools before servicing submarine periscopes, shipboard binoculars, and other optical equipment. He later joined Carl Zeiss Microscopes, receiving extensive technical training in Germany and New York on the company's full line of light microscopes. With more than 50 years of experience in the optical instrument industry, George founded JL Optical in 1992 with a commitment to helping customers maximize the life and performance of their equipment through exceptional service and maintenance.

All of our knowledgeable technicians also have manufacturer training and many years of hands-on experience—we wouldn't have it any other way. We take pride in managing our small business, not just on the outside but behind the scenes as well. We love what we do, and we hope it shows.
