Meiji MT-90 polarizing microscope for geology and mineral analysis

The Meiji MT-90 Series is a best buy and outstanding choice for entry level geology education. The MT-93 pictured here is equipped with a rotatable 135mm round metal stage with 2 stainless steel clamps and vernier graduations with an allen locking screw. This microscope comes with Meiji's new optical standard of precision optics. The unit is built to last daily classroom wear and tear. The ergonomic hand grip makes it easily portable and the compact design provides for easy storage.

Viewing Head

Binocular head with 45° inclined tube, fully rotatable over 360°. Dioptric adjustment for one eyepiece. Tube length 160mm. Interpupillary distance 54mm to 75mm

Eyepieces

Wide Field eyepieces HWF10x/18mm. Rubber eyeguards included.

Nosepiece

Revolving quadruple reversed nosepiece on ball-bearings with click stops for four objectives.

Objectives

Achromat DIN Semi-Plan 4x, 10x, S40x spring-mounted, and S100x spring-mounted objectives.

Anti-Fungus Coating

All optical parts are anti-fungus treated for mold prevention.

Stage

135mm round metal stage with two stainless steel clamps. Vernier with Allen locking screw.

Condenser

Abbe condenser, N.A. 1.25 with iris diaphragm and lever for height adjustability.

Polarizer

Swing-out polarizer fits on the light collector lens and is 360° graduations rotatable.

Analyzer

Analyzer is fitted in a slider and located under the head.

Illumination

Halogen 20 Watt adjustable illuminator for even illumination and optimal color rendering. Variable intensity controls are ergonomically placed.

Focusing System

Coaxial coarse and fine adjustment knobs on both sides with 0.002mm graduations. Friction of focus control can be adjusted. Built-in protection system prevents damage to specimen and objective.
